I got this from "The world's Healthiest Recipes" web site. I have found some really good recipe's there. As I said in a previous post we are trying to cut back on our meat in take. This recipe is a good one for that.
I have tweaked it a tad. Nothing new there.
1 onion, chopped
4 cloves garlic, chopped
1 TBS. fresh ginger, grated
2 carrot's sliced thin
1 green bell pepper, chopped
2 cups sweet potatoes, cut in 1 inch cubes. I usually can get 2 cups out of one big potato.
2 cups crimini mushrooms, sliced
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. red chili powder
1 tsp. paprika
1/2 can tomato paste ( small can)
2 Cups or more (whatever you desire) chicken broth, or veggie broth. You may want more broth.
1 15 oz. can kidney beans, drained
Salt and pepper to taste.
Chop garlic and onions.
Heat 1 TBS. oil and saute onion in a large pot over medium heat for 5 minutes, stirring frequently, until translucent. Add garlic, ginger, carrot, pepper, sweet potatoes, and mushrooms. Continue to saute for another 5 minutes, stirring frequently. Add spices and mix thoroughly. Mix tomato paste and broth together. cover, and simmer on low for about 30 minutes stirring occasionally. Add beans, salt, pepper and continue to cook for another 5 minutes on medium heat uncovered, or until vegetables are tender.
Serve over rice. I use Basmati rice.
There you go Taylor. My daughter wanted this recipe. ASAP. So that is why there is no picture.
I was just informed by google that my AdSense ads have been disabled.
My comments from my friends are full of filth. Thus they can no longer allow themselves to be represented on my blog.
You see in 2008 I posted a chicken recipe, and then, in 2010 someone from China posted a comment.
The comment was in CHINESE for the most part. There was one word in English. That word was sex.
I did not catch this particular comment. I read it last night. As mentioned before it was in CHINESE.
As mentioned before I posted the recipe in 2008.
The comment was posted (as mentioned before ) in 2010.
Let's see, what year is it? Oh, 2012.
Way to be on top of things GOOGLE.
I have myself deleted comments from people that have posted things in another language. I have done this for my own protection because I don't know what they are saying.
Well, friends go back and check your comments. (Right!!!! I can see you all rolling your eyes)
I will miss the hundreds of dollars I have made since 2008 from Google AdSense, or should I say the many hundred dollars I have made from Google AdSense.
Yes, since 2008 I have made a whole $100.00.
I realize that is not Goggles fault.
What I find baffling is, if they are going to be so tough.(which they should be) Shouldn't they be a little more on top of things. I mean C'mon!!!!!!!!
It only took 2 years for them to notice.
What a joke.

First I want to show you two of my girls.
Izzy made a pillow fort.
Then she played games with Chloe on Chloe's ipad.
They are so sweet together.
This is what we do in Vegas.
We had a road trip to Vegas. One of my daughters and her family live there.
We were hoping for great weather. It was great but it was kind of cold. During the day we did venture to a couple of parks.
At night however, we really partied.
The kids liked our room.
Of course they constantly had to crawl all over each other like a bunch of worms.
This is on our way back from Hoover Dam. I can't remember the name of this cute little town.
This is as close to an animal as Will will get. He's the one on the butt end.
On our way to the bridge. I told Izzy we had to leave her behind.
If there is dirt any where kids will play in it.
Great acting guys. They wanted to look like they were running.
Izzy didn't pay attention.
Last but not least.
We lost Jamie to Vegas.
He is working in some club as an Elvis impersonator.
(Elvis, the creepy years)

I will be honest with you.
I LOVE this soup.
Papa however, says it is alright.
I have been trying to find some healthier recipes and I LOVE this one.
Let me know if you agree.
This soup is also rich in vitamin A
1 large onion
1 to 2 TBS. canola oil
3 cups chicken or vegetable broth (I use chicken)
2 TBS. fresh ginger, grated
4 medium cloves garlic, chopped
1 tsp. curry powder
2 cups sliced carrots
1 cup sweet potato cut into cubes
5 oz. can of coconut milk
salt and pepper to taste
Chop onion. Heat oil in a medium soup pot. Saute onion in oil over medium heat for about 5 minutes, stirring often. Add garlic and ginger and continue to saute for another minute. Add curry powder and mix well with onions. Add broth, carrots, and sweet potato and simmer on medium high until all vegetables are tender, about 15 minutes. Add coconut milk. Blend in batches making sure blender is not more than half full at a time. Add salt and pepper to taste. Return to soup pot and reheat.
