Hot Fudge Sauce

This is a favorite at our house. I love it with homemade brownies, vanilla ice cream and hot fudge. Yummmmmmmmy!
We are having this as one of our desserts tonight at our family Christmas party.
In fact Taylor is making the sauce right now.

Mix together:
2 Cups sugar
4 TBS. Cocoa
dash of salt

Add one cup of canned evaporated milk, mix well.
Add 4 TBS. Butter, stir well.
Put on heat and bring to a boil.
Lower heat to low.
Cook 3 minutes
Remove from heat and add 1 tsp. vanilla

Stir this constantly while it is cooking. Also note that this sauce does not get really thick. However,
it has the most yummy chocolate flavor.

Classic Fudge Brownies

2 oz. unsweetened chocolate squares
1 stick butter
1 Cup sugar
2 large eggs
1 teas. vanilla
1/2 Cup all purpose flour
1/2 Cup chopped walnuts ( optional)

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Butter an 8" square metal baking pan. In a saucepan, melt the chocolate with the butter over low heat. Let cool slightly.
In a medium bowl, beat the sugar with the eggs and vanilla. Add the melted chocolate and beat until smooth.
Scrape the batter in prepared pan and bake 25 minutes or until firm.

Recipe can be doubled and baked in a 9" X 13" pan and of course that's the only way to go.
