Proof That I Am Fab!!

Tara from TMI and her other Blog KIDZ , I am co conspirator or affiliate to the latter of the two, sent me this fabulous award. I thank her deeply, now I have proof that I am Posh and fab. She likes to tease that I am oh so posh. Well now she has just encouraged it!

Tara is my DIL (Yes I know what that means, these abbreviations you all use in bloggy land sometimes send me for a loop. I am finally getting jiggy with it and know some of them.)

Anyway as usual I digress Tara started KIDZ to encourage those families with special needs children, she asked me to post some recipes of mine and well here I am. I love blogging.

I want you to know that KIDZ is for everyone, anyone who has a family would love her blog, she is always giving out great ideas for family fun, and yes she introduces us to some pretty amazing people. They inspire me every day.

The titles "Special Needs, Handicap, Retarded, Down Syndrome, Autistic etc. used to make me extremely uncomfortable and besides, all those things happen to other people so why even think about it. Well THINK about it.

Any time in any of our lives things happen. My father used to be an extremely healthy vital man. Now he is not. He has Spinal Cerebellar Ataxia , it is genetic so YAY I might have it too. I don't talk about it because well, I don't want to sit and cry for an hour while I explain. Not pity tears but tears from thinking of what an amazing man my dad is. ( see now I'm crying) I'll tell you all about it one day. Not today.

My brother in law Jack is dying. He has Liver Cancer. Yes he is way too young!! He also is an amazing man who has overcome great obstacles in his life. Is it hard for his family? Well you know the answer to that.

Most of you know about our special little Chloe, the reason behind KIDZ. The joy she brings to us I cannot measure. The heartbreak we have for her because her life is such a struggle, I cannot measure.

I have seen so many amazing things going on in our bloggy land. People helping people, praying for others they do not know. It doesn't matter the religion, God hears all of our prayers. Let's be amazing people in our real lives too. Don't turn the other way when you see a handicap person because it makes you feel uncomfortable.

In an airport last fall. An old man trying to sit down, fell down. No one tried to help. Not because they did not want to I'm sure of that. They didn't know what to do. I am not trying to sound all holier than thou please don't take it that way, but I grabbed his arm as he was going down. It was instinct from being around my father. The man was embarrassed because he has a neurological disease that makes him fall down. So does my dad.

This man should not have been embarrassed and we should not feel uncomfortable around others with special needs, they are us. Just the same as you and me. They just need some help for things we take for granted.

Here I have gone on and on and all I wanted to say was go visit KIDZ. It is meant for everyone.
Anyone who is related to somebody that is.

Now I would like to pass this award to :
A women's Prerogative

Life at Ann's Place

Living the Life With the Wife of Riley

The Little Things in Life

Well I can't get 2 out of the 4 links to work, so I say fiddle dee dee I'll think about that tomorrow!
I just read that I am supposed to award this to 10 yes 10 other bloggers, well to that I say fiddle dee dee I'll think about that tomorrow!

Each one of the bloggers bring something special to the table and I have enjoyed getting to know them. Some are brand new friends, listen to me I have only been blogging 2 months, so their all new friends I guess. There are more I would like to mention too, well enjoy.

Hey thanks for visiting my blog! Funny you should mention the Dog Whisperer, I love Ceasar Milan! We watch his show religiously and I have tried some of his methods on my dogs. Some of them work when I implement them but with our hectic lives it's difficult to be consistent. We carry on. I love your blog.. you have the same dry sense of humor as me - love it!
